Hannah Waff, M.S. Ed., CCC-SLP

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

Hannah is a Hampton Roads native who received both her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Speech and Language Pathology from Old Dominion University. Hannah has six years experience working with both children and adults in a variety of settings to include public school, Early Intervention, outpatient adult rehabilitation and pediatric therapy, and rehabilitation hospitals.

Hannah holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence and a Virginia State license. She has a specialty in working with young children (6 yrs and under) through play based and child motivated therapy with parent involvement via parent coaching. Hannah has taken coursework to support communication through AAC (augmentative alternative communication) methods to include picture communication, sign language, or speech generating devices. Hannah is a certified NLA Trained Clinician through the Meaningful Speech course on Gestalt Language Processing, Echolalia, and Natural Language Acquisition.

Hannah is passionate about finding a way for everyone to use their “voice” no matter how that voice presents. While focusing on speech therapy to target verbal productions is the overall goal, she believes everyone needs to communicate at some level while we learn to use our natural voice. She has a place in her heart for both delayed language learning and adults recovering from a neurological event, disease, or other diagnosis impacting communication to optimize independence and safety. My approach involves family and caregivers to the highest level to ensure success and carryover into my patient’s progress.
